The two thank-you arrangements

White roses in a quiet room

Direct Funeral Service and Cremation Memorial Chapel describes two thank-you arrangements: 10% Thank you for trusting us and the 5% Trusted family introduction program. Each has its own name and purpose.

The first is the courtesy on the first arrangement. The second thanks a family for an introduction. This guide keeps the two descriptions together and explains where the other family name belongs when you write a note.

10% Thank you for trusting us

Thank you for trusting us is the name of the ten percent courtesy included with the first arrangement. The courtesy applies to the first arrangement only. Use that name if you want to ask about the courtesy.

When reading about this courtesy, keep its name and that first-arrangement wording together. If you have a question about it, you can use the name in your note so it is clear which of the two thank-you arrangements you mean.

5% Trusted family introduction program

When a family sends another family to us, we like to give back as a thank you for the opportunity of introducing us to another family, as a trusted route through hard times.

The trusted family introduction program is identified by writing the other family name in the note. If another family introduced you to Direct Funeral Service and Cremation Memorial Chapel, include their family name alongside the service or wishes you are describing.

Make the family introduction clear

Give the introduction a separate sentence so the family name is easy to find. You might write, “Another family introduced us.” Then write the name of the family who introduced you.

Keep that sentence beside your request. If your note begins with a funeral, cremation, or wishes written ahead, the introduction can follow it. You can then continue with your wishes about a gathering and the questions you want to raise.

Keep questions about the two arrangements distinct

Use the name of the arrangement when writing a question. “Thank you for trusting us” identifies the first-arrangement courtesy. “Trusted family introduction program” identifies the thank you for a family introduction.

You can give each question its own line rather than combining both under a general question about a thank you. That makes the subject of each question clear. Use the descriptions above as the starting point, and put what you want to ask into your own words.

Bring the note back to the service you need

A note is how a family starts with Direct Funeral Service and Cremation Memorial Chapel. Alongside any introduction or question about a courtesy, say whether you are considering a non-denominational funeral or cremation, or writing wishes ahead.

A gathering can come first. If you want a gathering before cremation, include that wish in the note too. Your family can choose the words and music, and bring the customs that fit. Those wishes can have their own paragraph, separate from the family introduction and questions about the thank-you arrangements.

Include the name with your request

Start with the service or wishes you want to discuss. If another family introduced you, add their family name. Use the two thank-you names when asking about them, so your note makes clear which arrangement you mean.
